Buying your bike is only the first step. If you are going to continue to receive the best performance, the most comfort and enjoyment from it, you'll need to make sure its serviced on a regular basis.
The PFC Wellington workshop has a multi-national team of three fully qualified mechanics, one is fully Shimano Certified.
All bikes requiring workshop assistance must be booked in.

We normally require two days notice and you can phone and ask·for the Wellington workshop on (04) 385 2279 or book on-line by selecting your service from the options listed below.
PFC is open for drop off and collection at 65 Dixon Street from:

8 am until 6 pm on week days and

9am until 5.00 pm on Saturday

10am until 4pm on Sunday.

While you are welcome to drop off or collect your bike on a Sunday, there will not be a qualified mechanic·in-store.

PFC also has regular DIY Bike Maintenance evenings where you can meet other cyclists, enjoy some refreshments and learn basic maintenance including changing tyres, oiling, rejoining and cleaning chains, adjusting gears and brakes. Plus tips on a regular cleaning regime to keep your cycle running smoothly and save wear and tear on components.

Dialed In Motion

The world of bike fitting has changed forever and Penny Farthing Cycles, Wellington is proud to have this system exclusively in the lower North Island.

Dialed in Motion is the only bike fitting system in the world that can capture you cycling at 50 frames a second, freeze the motion at the exact point of interest, provide analysis for immediate bike position changes, and then save your results to a personalised area on the internet.

Dialed In Motion Consult

Dialed in Motion Accurately measures your individual critical body angles when you are in motion on your bike, even under full power or when fatigued.Uses state of the art software to analyse your body angles and make recommendations on your bike set-up based on your riding style, fitness and goals.

Creates real-time viewing (you can watch yourself as you go through the set-up process), video capture and analysis so you can see the before and after comparisons right there and then.The unique set-up system allows for bike components to be adjusted on the spot by our trained staff at Penny Farthing Cycles.We Dial in the recommended angles for comfort, power and efficiency.The bike fit analysis is recorded onto your personal profile for future bike fitting, accessible with your own username and password via Members login on the Dialed in Motion website. After your analysis you will automatically be sent an email with your secure password and username.

Dialed in Motion ensures you are set-up correctly for optimal power, efficiency and comfortable injury-free cycling so you get the most from your cycling and can be used for all bike set-ups; road, time trial, triathlon, mountain, track riding, touring and for juniors.

All cyclists from elite to recreational will benefit and you'll need to bring your bike, bike shoes and bike shorts.

It takes approximately one week or 200 km to adjust to changes made.

Time Required for a Dialed in Motion Bike Fit:

This comprehensive bike fit assesses your body to bike geometry 30 min to 1 hour $100.00

Dialed in Motion bookings are Monday to Friday at 10 am, 2 or 4 pm.

Out of towners may arrange a weekend fitting by appointment.

Junior cyclists are fitted free of charge.
