Servicing your Bike

Buying your bike is only the first step. If you are going to continue to receive the best performance, the most comfort and enjoyment from it, youll need to make sure its serviced on a regular basis.

All too often we see bikes that would benefit from the attention of an expert mechanic to optimise performance and make riding more efficient, enjoyable and safe.

The PFC Wellington workshop has a multi-national team of three fully qualified mechanics, one is fully Shimano Certified.

All bikes requiring workshop assistance must be booked in. We normally require two days notice and you can phone and ask for the Wellington workshop on (04) 385 2279 or book on-line.

PFC is open for drop off and collection at 89 Courtenay Place from 8 am until 6 pm on week days and from 9.30 until 4.00 pm on Saturday. While you are welcome to drop off or collect your bike on a Sunday, there will not be a qualified mechanic in-store.

PFC also has regular DIY Bike Maintenance evenings where you can meet other cyclists, enjoy some refreshments and learn basic maintenance including changing tyres, oiling, rejoining and cleaning chains, adjusting gears and brakes plus tips on a regular cleaning regime to keep your cycle running smoothly and save wear and tear on components. Standard Service $ 45.00

Includes assessment, adjustment, clean and lubrication of :

• Front and rear brakes
• Front and rear gears

Silver Service $80.00

Includes assessment, adjustment, clean and lubrication of :

• Bottom bracket
• Headset
• Front and rear hubs
• Brake cables, pads/discs and levers
• Front and rear derailiers and hanger
• Frame
• Tyres, tubes and rim tapes
• Chain
• Gear cables and shifters
• Seat, handle bar and stem

Premium Service $120.00

Includes assessment, adjustment, clean and lubrication of those components in Silver Service and also includes :

• Front and rear hub bearings and cones
• Headset bearings
• Bottom bracket bearings
